Application Overview
This bollard belongs to ZASP's hydraulic automatic bollard line, designed for sites requiring continuous, automated vehicle filtering. Operating flush with the road surface, it maintains open entrances for foot traffic and clear sightlines while physically blocking unauthorized vehicles - a capability that fixed barriers and manual posts cannot provide.
Typical Applications
- Residential and commercial driveways: Prevents unauthorized parking and tailgating at compound gates
- Parking entrances: Integrates with ticket or license plate recognition systems for automatic vehicle admission
- Pedestrian zones and campus roads: Allows scheduled delivery windows while remaining secured throughout the day
- Government and corporate perimeters: Forms inner access-control lines behind crash-rated barriers
Working Principle
When an authorized vehicle approaches, the loop detector or card reader sends a signal to the PLC cabinet. The hydraulic power unit then drives the bollard below road level in a smooth, controlled motion. After vehicle passage, the bollard rises automatically and locks into position. During emergencies or power failures, the unit can be configured for priority raising to immediately secure the entrance.
Control and Integration
The standard control package includes a PLC cabinet, loop detector, and remote control. Additional integration options include card readers, license plate recognition systems, and linkage with boom barriers or road blockers, enabling the bollard to function as part of a comprehensive entrance management system rather than a standalone post.
Quality and Certification
HB-HA301 is manufactured under the same quality system as ZASP's crash-rated product lines. The ZASP bollard series is tested to PAS 68 and IWA 14-1 standards, with ISO 22343 certification available for tender documentation requirements.
Service and Support
ZASP provides foundation drawings, installation guidance, and commissioning support for every order. Long-term supply of wear parts and hydraulic components is available, along with OEM customization options for diameter, height, and surface finish specifications.
